Not Marked: 33%

Here is me thanking YOU for your support. And no it ain’t pretty…fresh off my run, but it is a sincere thank you.

It’s amazing to me that we’re at 33% after one day! Humbling! Amazing! God’s work! Amen! Creating this indiegogo campaign for Not Marked has been an exercise in faith, leaping into thin air. There have been so many obstacles along the way. But today I’m encouraged. Deeply so.

For those of you who have never heard of crowd funding, it’s a way for artists, writers, designers and singers to fund their projects. It’s like a modern day Patron of the Arts model, except that the artist isn’t funded by one rich person, but by many average folks who collectively help the artist.

How Indiegogo works: You search the site for projects you’d like to fund. Usually a project has backing levels, meaning if you back at a certain level, you’ll receive an incentive (an ebook, a thank you, an acknowledgment, etc.). Some levels fill up fast. For instance, my $10 level where you receive the ebook and physical book for only $10 is now sold out.

Once you’ve decided that you’d like to fund a project, you click CONTRIBUTE NOW (a bright pink button). Indiegogo then walks you through the funding steps. If you don’t have a Paypal account, that’s okay. You can contribute by credit card. See yesterday’s post for a very clear step-by-step about how to do that.

Since my campaign is a do or die campaign, if it doesn’t fund by September 25th, you get your money back, and Not Marked does not get funded.

Again, thank you for all your generosity with Not Marked. Please tweet today to help spread the word:
