This marks the official launch week of Worth Living! To celebrate, I’ll be sharing testimonies from my launch team for the next few days. If you’d be so kind, please share a comment to encourage the bravery of these amazing folks.
Also, if you’re curious about the book and want to know more about it, you can read a free chapter by clicking the button below.
A NEW tidbit about the book
And now onto today’s testimony: Lea Ann Garfias.
In her own words: “Don’t we all feel inadequate, messy, misshapen, and worthless sometimes? Mary DeMuth tackles our biggest fears head-on with this intimate look at the issues women face. She covers it all — beauty, productivity, relationships, sins, and depression. She doesn’t shy away from bullies or critics, but rather reaches out from personal pain to offer US the help, healing, and love God promises in His Word. This is a must-have resource for Christian women’s bookshelves, a volume to read, discuss and ponder regularly. I plan to read it yearly!”

Lea Ann, we all doubt our worth but I think it’s tougher for women. I loved your example–“Pick me! Pick me!” If we only knew how many little hearts were broken by our insensitivity …
I came across this today, a day when I’m feeling totally worthless. I feel like others only want to be around me in certain circumstances, but not in others. It’s wonderful to be reminded at this moment that God loves me and always wants me. 🙂
Sally
He SO loves you, Starlina. What a beautiful name.
It’s so comforting to know I’m not the only messy one. Thank you Lea Ann. And yes, I can’t afford to gift this book to everyone but I want to!
That’s sweet. Maybe it will go on sale. 🙂
Lea Ann you have been a great cheerleader for this book! Thank you for encouraging the rest of us to follow suit. I can so relate to the struggle of wanting to be picked. So grateful that God has picked us! Love & blessings.
It’s been great getting to know you, Ayla! Worth Living is so full of challenging truths we desperately need, it’s hard not to thrust it into the hands of every friend and insist, “YOU NEED THIS!” Because we all do. Joining with you in praise for God’s goodness and grace!
You both have been great gems on the launch team. Thank you.
Agreed. I think we all struggle in this area. I know Worth Living is a book I’ll read again. I hope to read it slowly and absorb the message of God’s love again and again. His love is hard to believe sometimes, which is why we need reminding every day. Thanks LeAnn for sharing here, and thanks Mary for this gorgeous book.
It’s hard to keep silent about such important truths, right? I’m treasuring this book, too!
Thanks for reading it again, Trisha! 🙂
