Out of the Nest into the Next

Mar 5, 2024Archive, blog

We are praying, seeking, and getting counsel. We’ve experienced a cataclysmic shift in the past few months, and we wonder what God is up to. Would you pray for us?

Pray that we would honor him in our decisions.

Pray that we would be quiet enough to listen.

Pray that we would be willing to step out in faith.

Pray that we would discern whether we are to start afresh.

Pray for open doors both to rest and ministry, particularly together.

Pray we would shine where we are planted, but be willing to move if he so directs.

Pray for provision.

Pray for healing after church hurt.

Thank you, friends.

Hi Alison. Thank you for your empathetic comment and especially for the prayers. Such a good promise from Isaiah. Thank you.

Hello Mary, I have just found you via the Christian Publishing Show. My husband and I will be praying for you. We have been where you are. From comments you made on the podcast, and from reading a couple of your blogs, I feel we are like minded. My husband and I are in our early 70’s, so have been around the block a few times. Mega church, house church, no church!
We are Australians and involved in one on one discipling. I also run a ladies Bible study where we are doing verse by verse study. We feel context is critical. (I have recently had a Buddhist lady join to ‘improve her English’. We know the Lord has a higher purpose for her! )
Anyway, I just wanted to send you a greeting and thought this Scripture might be encouraging for you. “I have refined you, but not as silver is refined. Rather, I have refined you in the furnace of suffering” Isaiah 48:10 NLT
Praying that you will have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to you at this time. Nothing else matters.
