What Will They Think? – 33

The Gist:

I’m grateful today for the scholarship of Liz Curtis Higgs on this particular proverb.

How many of you have worried what other people think? Raise your hands. Ah, yes, I see you there. I certainly have struggled with this truth. Today’s podcast unpacks our worry about what others think and how to be set free.

Scriptures:

Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. Proverbs 29:25

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10).

“I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.’” (Psalm 91:2)

“In God I trust and am not afraid.
What can man do to me?” (Psalm 56:11)
