Here’s a way to check yourself. I know this list can be convicting. It is to me. I often prefer convenience and ease to discipleship and carrying my cross. Click on the image for better readability.

Mary, I hope you read this. I have been reading your posts about Julia and I don’t usually comment, but a thought came to me this morning. Have you had Julia tested for Lyme Disease? It is so nasty. My cousin’s wife had it for a long time and developed brain lesions and couldn’t walk along with headaches. It took months if not longer to figure it out because she lived in a state that does not recognize Lyme disease in their state. She ended up having to go out of state for treatment and diagnosis. Her daughter had it also and had totally different symptoms. Please have Julia checked out if you haven’t already. The sooner treatment is started the better. I hope and pray that you both will be feeling better soon!!

This is an important message. How often do we pray and seek for safety. Just last night at Church I was sharing about Caleb from Joshua 14. – At 85 he asked for his inheritance. He could have easily asked for a city that had already been conquered Instead, he asked for Hebron that was well fortified and still occupied. I hope my faith will grow to take on the dangerous tasks for God’s glory.

Ouch, ouch, and ouch. I want to thank you for this infographic, but at the same time I want to get mad at you for calling me on the carpet. :) Been thinking about your family – praying your daughter is feeling better.

Mary, your post reminds me of what Jeroboam did at Dan. By providing alternative places of worship, he appealed to the laziness of the human spirit (1 Kings 12:26-30). Worshipping at Dan was far more luxurious than Jerusalem. He substituted the priests, the
feast, the places of worship—all outside of God’s will. I see that the world, the flesh, and the devil will always tempt us with Jeroboam’s words: “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem!” Sin always provides a substitute more convenient and more attractive than obedience.
