I’m really excited to share this interview today, thanks to Family Life Today granting permission for this 2007 interview. We chatted about my book Building the Christian Family You Never Had.
This is a continuation from last week’s podcast, but this time we talk about parenting today and how important it is to let go of the past, forgive your parents or caregivers, leave your family of origin to cleave to your spouse, find a parenting mentor, and learn to parent from the inside out.
Scripture: Romans 12:18
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”
Sexual abuse is “the hardest stone the devil in hell can throw at a human being.” Dan Allender
“I may know what NOT to do as a parent, but I feared I didn’t know what TO do.” Mary DeMuth

As you may or may not know, I’m taking a much-needed sabbatical this summer. Read about that here. So I’ll be sharing some of my talks, interviews and teachings that have been a benefit to others from years past. I pray that these messages deeply, profoundly bless you.
