A NEW insight about the book

We often try to downplay our weaknesses and hide them. But the amazing thing about God is that He comes through in our weakness, not in spite of it. It’s when I’m weak that I finally surrender and let Him get a word in edgewise (and His strength finally can flow through.) There is a chapter in Worth Living all about the beauty and benefit of our weaknesses.

And now onto today’s testimony: Linda Hibner.

I love her beautiful shirt (and smile!).

Linda writes, “I have a new favorite book! Worth Living by prolific and versatile writer, Mary DeMuth, grabbed my attention immediately with the most encouraging words I’ve heard in a long, long time: “God has chosen you. All your quirks. All that baggage. All those secret and not-so-secret failures. You are chosen.” Mary writes with candor of her own experience and shares her journey to healing and wholeness. I read Worth Living in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down.

Have you ever wondered, “Why don’t I love myself enough to do the things that make me happy?” In Chapter 7 Mary DeMuth asks and addresses this very question. In an easy-to-read format, she addresses one of the most crucial issues particularly affecting women…our self-worth. Using her personal experiences, scripture, and a wide array of well researched and documented information, Mary presents readers with the inescapable truth that God made us, loves us, and desires for us to be happy. My favorite take-away ideas come from Chapter 5: “God never wastes our weakness.” And “..God functions best in your weakness. It’s the most amazing place for him to work his miracles.””

Love how you talked about our secret failures & how God loves & approves of us in spite of them. The word about being chosen penetrated my heart as well. Mary is a gifted writer & I’m so grateful God chose her to wrote this message of His love for & affirmation of His people.

I love your meme: “The more we love others, the less we worry about making people love and admire us.” So true. Praying for great success of your book encouraging people to celebrate the person God has uniquely created!
