A NEW tidbit about the book

One of my greatest struggles as an avowed Achiever is that I equate my worth with what I produce. As I wrote Worth Living, some of that “need” melted away. I’m learning I can sit in a room alone, do nothing, and still be wildly loved by my Creator. I pray that for you as well.

And now onto today’s testimony: Dani Nichols.

Look at those awesome, sweet dogs Dani loves!

Dani writes, “It’s tempting to define ourselves as the sum total of our accomplishments and relationships. We see ourselves as wives, mothers, daughters, coworkers; a-plus students, workaholics, neat freaks and career women. But what if those are all just side orders to the main course – the real and life-changing truth that we are loved and worthy just because of who we are, not what we do?

Mary DeMuth’s book Worth Living has really helped me to see that as true – no that I always feel it or believe it – but that I know it is, just as I know the sky is blue even when rain clouds move in and cover it. This book has been a blessing to me as I’m navigating new motherhood, job changes and body image issues, and I think that any woman at any point in her life will benefit from Mary’s gifted wisdom and storytelling in Worth Living.”

Dani, I totally relate. It’s so easy for me to define myself by all these job titles, and not by my identity as God’s daughter. This is something I’m trying to work on daily because I lose sight of my true identity in Christ daily. Thanks for this post!

Dani, thank you for your transparency. I remember struggling to find worth after becoming a mother; still do 6 years later. Praise God for Mary’s book & how it lovingly dismantles the lies we’ve believed about being unworthy. I pray a sealing over your heart of the truths you gained through the book; that they would grow & pour out to others. Mary, I’m so grateful for how God brought you joyful rest with this book. I will continue praying rest over you my friend. Love to you both ❤
