Recently I received this comment from My Family Secrets. It’s a painful comment, full of confusion and frustration:

I’m 31 years old and I love my mom, but I feel she still has a hold of me. It feels like I’m going to get punished or something.  I’m married and have a 3 year old. My wife and mother do not get along to the point that it’s making me physically ill. I can’t stand up to my mother and my wife hates that about me. I don’t know what to do.
