The Nearest Book

Here’s a fun exercise, given to me by Christa. Find the NEAREST book, turn to page 123. Read five sentences, then write the next three. Here are mine:

The Book: Streams in the Desert by L.B. Cowman:

“Praying through something might be defined as follows: Praying your way into full faith; coming ot the point of assurance, while still praying that your prayer has been accepted and heard; and in advance of the event, with confident anticipation, actually becoming aware of having received what you ask. Let us remember that no earthly circumstances can hinder the fulfillment of God’s Word. We must look steadfastly at His immutable Word and not at the uncertainty of this ever changing world.”

Whoa there. How funny that these are precisely the words God has been speaking to me lately. To be confident. To pray with faith. To believe He will answer before I see the answer. I guess that’s called faith, isn’t it?

So what’s your nearest book? And what does it say on page 123, sentences 6-8? Let me know.
