These are adapted from The Joy of Cooking. (One of my fave cookbooks).
2 cups flour
1 TBS baking powder
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
Mix all together, but don’t overhandle the dough. Put out onto floured surface and roll into a 10-inch circle. Use a pizza cutter to cut 8 wedges. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Serve with jam and butter (and tea and clotted cream. oh my!)
