Restory Show Update

Jun 27, 2016Restory Show

We have successfully completed Season One of the Restory Show! Hooray! Don’t cry too many rivers, though. Season Two will start on September 12th. We have some amazing folks lined up!

We’ve had some poignant and important stories. You can go back through the archives here.

Today I’d like to give you a little bonus episode of just me talking. In this episode, I share how my year of subtraction has been so far, what lessons God has taught me along the way, and how has God restoried me and my family this year. I pray it’s a blessing to you.

BONUS: There’s a big, fat surprise in this episode.

Mary, as good as you are at writing, you are an amazing speaker! I have heard you on video and here, and I am pulled in, to listen to your voice. Your voice is so professional, and you express yourself well. I can see that this is the direction God is taking you with the ReStory Conference. God is blessing you, and I am so glad to hear that your husband now has a new job. God is so good!

Mary, this was way worth staying up past midnight to listen to! Praise the Lord for your husband’s new job. I totally get what you’re saying about going through a season of being humbled while totally relying on and trusting God as our security and our provider. I had a 29 year banking career that ended in 2010 when a new company bought us out. My husband is self-employed so we had to make adjustments with the loss of my income. A subtraction. I learned how God uses change to make us move out of our comfortable places. I even blogged about that! This change opened a door to ministry work as well as more opportunities to write. Then this past September, hubby injured his back and was out of work for an entire month. Another test, but as you said, God provides. Many blessings came our way, including an anonymous $500 money order in the mail. God is so good and I’ve never felt more at peace than when the rug was pulled out, yet we still stood on solid ground. Thanks for all you do, Mary. Your words are powerful because they’re His words. What amazing things God continues to do in and through you. Thanks for sharing your encouragement to step out in faith and dream big. Amazing to watch God transform the ReStory Conference from dream to reality. Blessings to you!
