Special Edition of the Re-Story Show

May 9, 2016Restory Show

Emilie Quisenberry and I have known each other a few years because we go to the same church, and we both have hearts to help women uncover their worth. She’s a member of the Worth Living launch team.

Today’s episode is different

Although we do get to hear Emilie’s story and her heart, the conversation is framed by the release of my latest book, Worth Living: How God’s Wild Love for you Makes You Worthy. Get more information AND a free chapter by clicking the book image below:

What we talked about

    • Emilie shared how the book has impacted her.
    • We both discussed how Satan wants to steal, kill, and destroy (and de-story) us, and that believing our worth is spiritual warfare.
    • Emilie shared how she’s struggled with body image and worth.
    • We both agreed that the purpose of our Christian walk is joy. Jesus talks about it beautifully in John 15:11 “I have told you these thingsso that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!”
    • We talked about the treadmill of achievement, that even when we achieve our goals, we can’t celebrate. Instead, we look for the next thing to accomplish.
    • If you base your worth on your relationships, you will be let down. Base your worth on Jesus who will never leave or forsake you.
    • Real change happens from the inside out, not trying to decorate the outside.
    • We can only really abide right now, in this moment.
    • As promised, here is where Emilie will be leading an online study of Worth Living.

Also, if you’re curious about the book and want to know more about the ten lies and ten truths it talks about, you can get free printable cards here. (And a free chapter of the book). Just click the button to learn more:

And here’s the offer I told you about:

[Tweet “Get a free spiritual warfare book when you buy @MaryDeMuth’s #WorthLiving. Here’s how.”]

As in all my episodes, I pray for you at the end. It’s my sincere hope that you’ll walk away from the Restory Show changed and challenged.

{Aside: For those of you who have lost a pregnancy or have battled anorexia, this may trigger some difficult emotions.}
