This year’s ACFW was a blessing! (ACFW stands for American Christian Fiction Writers). The best part was connecting with people I hadn’t seen in several years. I am still relishing the conversations. And I was so happy to be there with my friend Anne Mateer who released her first book there! Wooohoooo! I also found that the Lord was quite mindful of me (and so many others). He confirmed some things I’ve been struggling against for a long time, and has granted me some new verve and direction. More on that later. In the meantime, enjoy the photos.
The arch from my window on day two. What a gift!
Katie Lane (marketing queen from Harvest House) and Kim Moore, my very first editor! My spiritual warfare book, Beautiful Battle, releases in January!
Carla Stewart. A beautiful woman. A beautiful writer.
Two of my dearest, sweetest friends. Randy Ingermanson donning his steampunk garb and D’Ann Mateer (whose first novel just released. Purchase Wings of a Dream here! Terrific historical fiction)
Andy Meisenheimer, the editor of Daisy Chain, A Slow Burn, Life in Defiance and Thin Places. He’s an amazing editor. And Curtis Riskey, King of CBA.
The illustrious and amazingly fun Jenny B. Jones. She’s so fun I want to change my name to Mary B. DeMuth.
Lisa Buffaloe is a gem.
Laughing at the grainy ways of this photo. Looks like Liz Curtis Higgs and I are captured on video surveillance for a crime.
Ben Erlichman and me. This is about as close as I get to a gun (meaning this one is fake). 🙂 And sorry about the Vampire Eyes. My iphone captured them strangely.
Dear sweet Amy Sorrells.
