I just finished my first-ever radio interview. Jeanne’s advice to breathe proved helpful, though I didn’t do the heavy breathing technique. So, I chatted with Detroit folks on their way to work on a soon-to-be snowy day.

Right before I called the station, I prayed. And then it hit me. All this publicity stuff and marketing is an opportunity to share Jesus with people. Peace came then. Being on the radio wasn’t a venue to be nervous and worry about what I would say, but a time to rely on the Holy Spirit so He could breathe encouraging and redemptive words through me.

This change in perspective helped me tremendously. And it helped me to welcome publicity, not in an ego sense, but in the potential it has to reach more people with the news of Jesus.
