“For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands” (Isaiah 55:12, NAS).
I’m off and running. Lots of travel. Lack of sleep. A new adventure. I’m reminded of this other verse from Isaiah 43:18-19:
“Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”
God is up to new things in me. New paradigms. New ways of rejoicing. New relationships. New perspectives. New rivers in old deserts.
Mind if I pray for you?
Lord, not only are you doing new things for me, but You are doing new things for the person reading this prayer. Help him/her to cultivate a huge awareness of what You are doing. Give new direction. Breathe new life. Stir old passions. Renew hearts. Forgive hidden sins now brought to the light. Lift the heads of the depressed. Sing over us all, Jesus. Amen.
