It’s a Virus Now, Folks! Now, look to the Future!

Oct 19, 2007Archive

A huge thank you to all of you who participated in the viral experiment. I’ve lost count of how many people participated–it’s in the 100s now, which is really cool. Initially I was able to view everyone’s blog, but it’s taken off, and I can either work on the book I’m writing on deadline, or read endless posts. I had to opt for writing.

A huge thanks to all of you who shared your stories. It’s fascinating, isn’t it? To see how far we’ve come each decade?

An addendum: A new question . . . What do you see yourself doing ten years from now? Describe you in 2017.

My take: I’m in my jubilee year (fifty!). I’ve finally earned out a book advance and can make a living writing books. My eldest daughter is married (perhaps). My son is in college, as is my youngest daughter, so we’re empty nesters. Hubby and I are more free to do short term missions, particularly in Africa. I’m not sure where we live, but I do hope we’ve downsized. Maybe we drive an electric car, and I’ve finally gotten around to composting again. This blog is replaced by something uber-cool. And one of my novels has been made into a movie. (One can always dream, right?) And more than any of this, I want to be known as a woman of prayer, and someone who mentors younger women.
