Yesterday, several wonderful friends came over to my home and helped me send 85 books (30 Authentic Parenting books to media, 55 Watching the Tree Limbs and Wishing on Dandelions to all sorts of folks). I could not have done this without this contingent of helpers!
How did this come about? My friend Pam suggested I have a book sending party when I lamented about how overwhelmed that particular project was. What a lovely idea! So about a dozen of us came together, ate lunch, and assembled books to be sent to a variety of people.
I prayed as I saw each parcel being stamped at the post office. You just never know, do you?
Want a sampling? How’s this for an interesting list:
- Angelina Jolie
- Focus on the Family
- Kirk Cameron
- Costco’s book buyer
- Someone who works for the UN
- The Texas Library Association
- Relevant Magazine
- Bono
- Dr. Phil
- The Palestine Public Library (in Texas, not the Middle East. Side joke: The only difference between Palestinians from Texas and the Middle East is that the Texans carry more guns.)
- Dr. Dan Allender
- Marcus Goodyear of The Higher Calling
- USA radio network
- Emergent Village
It’s a fun adventure to think that perhaps one of these folks will pick up a book, read it clear through (one can only hope) and be changed or inspired or blessed.
A big, fat hug to all who came!
