How Our Stories Intersected

Candice and I share a publisher (Baker), and we now share similar stories about our pasts–not that our fathers are the same, but that we both struggled beneath the weight of enigmatic fathers. In her case, her father was a con man.

In this episode, Candice talks about her growing up years, what life was like when the FBI knocked on your door, the kinds of boundaries she had to make with her con man father, and the great relationship she has today with her mom.
