I had a product on this site where I shared the healing journey, how God heals your broken heart. Instead of selling it, I am going to give it to you for free in six installments. This is installment number one. Hooray!
We used to have a small enclosure on the left side of the white house I lived in when I was five years old. There, I used to hide. But I could not hide from all the evil in the world. Thank God He rescued me ten years later.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
“For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God.”
“Helen heard part of your story enough to understand that your pasts were probably somewhat similar. She sat on my lap and laid her head on my shoulder and said that it was ‘sad that no one saved you like she was saved’ and that she was ‘sorry you had to live your whole life like that.’ We prayed for you, and I tried to explain to her that you were saved by Jesus. She didn’t seem to get it. A little while later, I heard her elder sister Barbara talking to Helen about how she thought God had protected you because you were supposed to help girls like them. That it’s awful that kids go through bad times, but if no one big had ever gone through them before and been okay, then there would be no one to help girls like them.” Mom of a foster girl
