Andy Traub is an entrepreneur, a former Young Life leader, a husband and a father who lives in Tennessee.

How Our Stories Intersected

Andy and I met online as he helped me create my first podcast (the uncaged podcast). We met in person with his dear, dear family when I was last in Tennessee.

Here they are:

About Andy’s Story

In His Own Words

“All the pretense and plans were stripped away. You find out who your real friends are. God is always there to catch you.”

“I am a wandering generality, and I’m okay with that.”

“Maybe it didn’t end well for the disciples because that wasn’t the end.”

“It’s amazing how we make God American.”

“No one yells at you for trying to live an American story.”

“One of the worst things I’ve dealt with is success because it makes me lazy.”

“Why do we listen to the soundtrack of fear? As a Christian, I let fear be my soundtrack.”

“When you really love someone, you’re not afraid.”

“The goal is not to get back to that (who you were in the past), it’s to move to somewhere else, to change.”

This was one of the best re-stories Mary. Andy had such good words of wisdom to share with us all. I loved the part about listening to fear…He is so right that fear is not from God, and we should only listen to God, so…why are we listening and making decisions based on hearing that fear. Listen to God, not to fear!
    Fabulous!
    Loved this whole pod-cast!
Thanks Mary for what you are doing!

Thank you for your kind words Susan. Mary makes GREAT stuff…and fear is dumb. Keep going!

This podcast so resonated with me as I have moved 7 times in the past 2 years. Financial hardship was the reason for the initial move. It was planned but the others were not. 6 of the 7 times, I lived with other people. Most of whom I didn’t have personal relationships.

Each move had its on set of challenges. As soon as I got comfortable in one place, it came to an end. (That’s another story… smile) So many of my fears have been conquered. All of which have prepared me for my next move. In just a few days, I am relocating to Palm Coast, FL… Speaking of nice weather Andy… smile.

Resuming my career as a dialysis technician after an 11 year absence is the door God opened. However, I too have several interests.. from health/welness to writing/photography. My schedule will allow me the flexibility to pursue more… Super excited.

Andy, thanks for your transparency. Mary, I have listened to all of the Restory podcasts. Thank you for sharing these amazing stories with us. Blessings upon Blessings to the both of you.
