Path to Publication Part Nine

10 Comments 25 April 2006

Read the daring intrigue of how I fared at my first writers conference! Now that I’ve written that sentence, I see how self-absorbed we writers are. Why would anyone want to read this drivel? Well, if you are interested, I’ll give you a hint. It didn’t go well. You can read about it at The Masters Artist.

I’m thankful my journey has been an encouragement! Heather, I’d read those words over and over too.

Nope, no drivel here—just evidence of God’s Hand moving in the life one woman passionately committed to Him. And that is always a fascinating read! Your story compels the rest of us to look around for evidence of Him in our journeys…and not miss what grand and glorious things He is up to!Type on, sister!ÜAnn (HolyExperience)

I enjoyed reading about your path to publication and your first writer’s conference. How could that published writer lady be so cruel to someone starting out? Maybe God allowed you to go through that experience because you have a heightened sensitivity toward new writers and the long road we travel.I was blessed to have a positive experience meeting with an author at my first writer’s conference. I was so clueless! I sat across from her and showed her my writing samples, and she encouraged me to submit submit submit!Later, I bought one of her books and she signed it, “You’re a great mom and writer.” I think I’ve read that sentence exactly one thousand times!
