My son has POTS, a form of Dysautonomia. Dysautonomia is a disease of the autonomic nervous system. Many patients are bed bound with horrible medical issues and they are unable to stand. In my son’s case, many of his involuntary muscles do not function properly. I would like for you to pray for his recovery. He suffers terribly. I would also like for you to pray for him to be more responsible with regard to his health. He is lucky that he doesn’t have a heart defect, some patients do, and they are unable to exercise. He needs to work out on a constant basis and eat properly. He is struggling with this and taking care of his body. Sometimes he gets caught up in feeling good, and he thinks he’s cured, but his POTS symptoms can flare up with a vengeance. He also needs to be more responsible in doing his homework. I am part of a huge Dysautonomia support network, which consists of adult POTS patients and younger POTS patients’ parents. Please pray for all POTS patients, their families, and their doctors. Doctors don’t know what causes it yet. It is too overwhelming to watch my son miss out on his childhood without taking control of his health for his future.

Would you could you pray for me? I am away at college and struggling so badly with homesickness. I have been crying every day, and my eyes are all swollen. I, also, am terrified of getting anything less than A’s in my classes. Also, I am drowning financially. Could you please pray for peace, wisdom, help with finances (more scholarships), that I do well in classes, and that this semester will go fast. And that I find a friend. Thank you in advance. This will help.

Thank you Mary for your heart. You are a precious gift and your posts and Tweets encourage me daily. Our family is in desperate need of a miracle. The short of it is this: we have had our house for sale for over a year and we have some outstanding debts that are past due that the sale was to cover. We have dropped the price to the point where we will barely make enough to pay for what we need to cover. The stress and worry are exhausting. And my faith is strong that Christ alone is all we need and yet…..there is no running from our obligations. We need a sale and we need it now. It’s just that simple. I believe that God is able and I also believe He is showing us what it truly means to rely on Him. But I am tired….thanks for praying. Praying for you too.

God may be asking me to open a door to be vulnerable and offer up a comfortable place in ministry to the unknown. I walk up to that door and there before it is a huge mat that doesn’t read “welcome.” From my vantage point, it reads “FEAR.” Oh how I tire of myself….back peddling, faithless, losing my confidence in my Christ.. thanks for your prayers Mary. I am finding it hard to pray for myself.
