I’m so excited to be a participant with Pure Charity in today’s cool event. Instead of Black Friday or Cyber Monday, let’s turn this thin on its head! Enter Generous Tuesday.
From the Pure Charity folks: “Individuals, non-profits, and businesses are coming together to remember what the giving season is truly about, and giving back. They’re coming up with inspired ideas and big plans to join in Generosity, and you can too. Tell people what you are doing and why. Generosity inspires Generous Living, and it can spark a movement of transformation.”
In a nutshell: let’s let the things we buy anyway become a catalyst for generosity. Sign the pledge here.
Then take action. Here’s a simple way:
- Consider building a school in Haiti. Go to the Legacy site here.
- Click on the “Back this Project” button on the right hand side. (If you need more information about Pure Charity, who are the vehicle for this fund raiser, read my post here. Setting up an account is very easy.)
- Donate to this project. We’re doing it in phases, starting with a brick for $35 bucks. We’re currently on phase five!
- Consider corralling your kids around this project as a Christmas gift you give to Haiti.
