I can’t do it all

I can’t do it all

When we started The Muir House Tour, we intended to have an interactive (free) element where I composed a novella and those who signed up would follow along and offer feedback. After several days, I’ve realized two things:

  • Those who signed up didn’t follow along (which is totally fine).
  • Two very looming deadlines have overwhelmed me leaving me little energy and creativity to write this novella.

Many of you know I’ve been traveling a lot. I finished my travel this last weekend at a high school retreat, which was extremely rewarding, but very tiring. I feel like all I do is play catch up right now, and my reserves are low. As my other deadlines loom and Christmas gets closer, I know I have to make a decision for the sake of my health and family to pull a few things off my plate, this part of the Muir House Tour being one of them. I hope you understand.

So here’s what I’m going to do. I’ll be re-directing.

I’ve decided to open the first five chapters of The Librarian to all of you, not just to folks who signed up for the tour. Feel free to download it, read the 23 pages, and offer your input over at my Facebook page.

In the future, I hope to write this novella (which features Blake from The Muir House) and publish it as an ebook.

Great post Mary! At least you were able to realize you were overwhelmed and took action. Redirecting may not have been the decision you wanted to make, but I’m sure it will be in your best interest.
