Family Uncaged

Snow in the South of France

2 Comments 26 January 2006

We don’t have central heat in our home. We heat by propane space heaters and a few portable electric radiators we plug into the wall. Recently in a radio interview, the host was surprised to hear it got cold in Southern France. Well, my toes can attest to that reality. Right now they are happy inside some down slippers I bought in Geneva last week.

And in case you are still skeptical, besides the fact that it’s been in the high 30s for two months, here are some pictures taken minutes ago from my bedroom window.

I need to go . . . gotta make some homemade hot chocolate for my children and prepare for our home group tonight.

Oh Mary – much as I love those pictures my heart is in my mouth when I think we have only two days to shoot our film in Monaco and right now it does not look like we’re going to get the glamourous sunshine we were hoping for! It seems we have picked the one weekend that has not been fine this month. Here’s praying that God wooshes that cold front on a bit and we get some fine weather down there this weekend.
In the meantime, the hot chocolate idea is verrry good….
Hugs from cold, wet and damp Ireland
